SUMMER SCHOOL

As we shared previously, we will be providing virtual summer school this summer. The dates for summer school will be July 6-31.

For middle school, there will be a variety of virtual classes offered throughout July and into August.  Our virtual summer school is an experience filled with academic exploration, enrichment experiences, and curricular reinforcement. There will be NO COST to enroll and ALL courses are accessible to your child through their school-issued iPad.

HAS YOUR ADDRESS CHANGED?
It is crucial that your current home/mailing address is accurate in our database so you can receive the back-to-school registration packet during the summer. Please visit our Change of Address information section located on the VASD Registration website to review the steps necessary to update your address.

 
MEAL DISTRIBUTION SCHEDULE CONTINUES MONDAY, WEDNESDAY & FRIDAYS:
As a reminder, we have gone to a Monday, Wednesday and Friday meal distribution schedule. Families will be able to collect two days’ worth of meals on those days. Distribution sites and times are:

Meal Distribution will continue through AUGUST 30,2020.

10:30-11:30am on Monday, Wednesday and Friday
•Nakoma Heights Community Room, 4929 Chalet Gardens Rd, Fitchburg
•Stone Crest Apartments Community Room, 5673 King James Ct, Fitchburg

11:45-12:15pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday
•Hometown Junction Park, 101 W. Railroad St., Verona

Noon - 1pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday
•New Fountain Apartments tennis court area, 5401 Williamsburg Way, Fitchburg


SAFER AT HOME ORDER:  
 

In the Forward Dane document, reference is made to 4 different phases, Prepare for Safe Reopen, Phase I, II and III.  The following is a summary of a no-sooner than time line for each of these phases: (NOTE Public Health used here refers to Public Health Madison and Dane County (PHMDC)).  https://bit.ly/2ZHBxpN

Phases:   

Phase I                  Starts no sooner than May 27th           (see * below)
Phase II                 Starts no sooner than June 12th           (see * below)   
Phase III                Starts no sooner than June 26th          (see * below)

Public Health will reassess no sooner than 2 weeks after entering a phase; it is undetermined how long it will take thereafter to move to the next phase. The dates listed above are the absolute soonest a phased transition may occur and should not be assumed.
