From 7th Grade Basketball….Last night at Oregon the 7th grade boys were out to avenge both teams only loss of the season. In the first game of the night the basketball gods finally answered our 3 ball prayers and the A team was able to easily dispatch Oregon. In the night cap, the B team improved their scoring output by 23 points from the first time we played Oregon. Unfortunately that wasn’t quite enough to continue the win streak. We will be back in action on Thursday night against Monroe. Players, please bring your pizza party money to coach Laxton on Wednesday at practice

or Thursday at the game.

From 8th grade basketball:  Last night both B teams battled much taller Oregon teams.   Each team fell a little short in the end but played tough second halves.   No practice tonight. Please bring $4 to practice on Wed. for the pizza party next week.   GO WILDCATS!!!!!!

We’ll return to Badger Ridge at 8:30 pm. Have your ride ready! From 8th grade basketball:  Great job to both B-teams last night on 2 close games against Badger Ridge.  The B Black team let a small lead slip away and lost a nail biter. The B-orange team got the “WIN” with strong defense and rebounding.  Great job to all the WILDCATS and thanks again to awesome fan support.

From 7th grade basketball:  Last night in 7th grade basketball action your SOMS Wildcats continued their winning streaks. The B team lead the Badger Ridge crew from wire to wire to earn their 5th straight win. In the final game of the night the A team shrugged off a rough shooting night to help SOMS finish off the season sweep of their crosstown rivals and to earn a 5th straight victory of their own. Both teams will be on the hunt Monday in Oregon to avenge their only losses of the season.

It’s cold outside, (sometimes I feel I’m stating the obvious) bring your coats, hats and mittens to lunch!

The B-team lost by 2 at the end to a much bigger McFarland B team.    However, your WILDCATS, both on the court and in the stands, showed class, dignity and sportsmanship. We are so proud of the team for how they handled themselves.  We can’t wait for the rematch. Reminder, due to the band concert - NO PRACTICE TONIGHT.

7th grade basketball...Get the brooms out because your 7th grade boys basketball team swept McFarland last night. The A team got out to a huge lead early and never looked back. The B team had some struggles but were able to prevail in the end.
