Dear Savanna Oaks Families,

I'm sending a second reminder that beginning on Monday, November 27th students will not be allowed to use cell phones at school between 8:30am and 3:33pm.

I have received more replies from families in regard to this than any message sent in several years. All replies have been 100% supportive.  Thank you for your understanding and support.

Please remember, if you provide a phone to your child and they bring it to school, help them determine how they will keep it in their locked locker or otherwise turned off and put away during the school day.  Any staff member who sees a phone during the school day is directed to pick it up, bag it, send it to the office and the student's family will be contacted.

If you need to contact your child during the school day, please phone our office at 845-4000.  If an unexpected event arises, we can deliver a message to your child very quickly.  Students are welcome to use the phone in the office in the event they need to contact you.

Thank you for your assistance, as our intention is to give every learner the tools and habits they need for success.

Please contact Mr Christofferson or me with questions or comments about this or any other school concern.
